JLT Cabon Fiber Cold Air Intake - 2010 Mustang GT

$399.00

JLT 2010 Mustang GT CAI This purchase is for the JLT Carbon Fiber Intake kit only. A computer tune specific for this intake is required. Dyno Test Ford threw us a curve ball this year with the 2010 Mustang GT and installed a factory version of a “Cold Air Intake”. This new intake design is where Ford was able to raise horse power levels from 300* Flywheel HP on 2005-2009 models to 315* Flywheel HP on 2010 models. This 15 HP is great, but we typically see 20-30 Rear Wheel HP on previous models with our JLT CAI and tune package, so let’s get that extra horse power back! We got hold of a few 2010 Mustang GTs and got to work. First thing we noticed is the new intake works well. We started with a couple of base line pulls to see what we were working with and the cars responded with 269- mid 270’s RWHP, which is about 8-10 RWHP higher then the previous years. With the large stock MAF we had to go even bigger, much bigger to make the gains needed to warrant customers plunking down the coin for an intake and tuner package. Yes, this as with all 2005-up Mustangs requires a tune to keep the car running safe and make power. We swapped the intake for the new larger JLT CAI and began to make the tune. A few runs on the dyno to get the tune dialed in and we were in luck, bam, 284.65 RWHP and 308.53 RWTQ. We have seen one car as high as 392 RWHP with nothing more than a JLT CAI and custom tune. Average gains are 12-15 RWHP across the RPM range. * New car horse power ratings are rated at the flywheel. Chassis dyno readings are measured at the rear wheels; this is typically 12-15% less than fly wheel numbers.
